The French press looks at the Egyptian elections, today's EU summit, and some of the rather poorly defined roles of the new French government.

Liberation is looking at the Egyptian elections - saying that for the young, secular revolutionaries, there are really no good options.

Le Figaro is already criticising Hollande's performance at the EU summit before he's even got there, while Le Parisien is mocking some of the new government ministries he's created.

Hollande President of Europe

It seems that your new President Hollande is now running for the presidency of Europe. He is busy upstaging and forming alliances against Merkel,which will come back to bite him in the ass later on. Perhaps, he should pay some attention to the mountan of problems in France, and how he is going to fix them. Making Germany the scapegoat, and Merkel the stick in the mud will not work for long.
