'The children of Houla will be forgotten'

Is the Houla massacre Syria's Srebrenica? And what, if anything, can the international community do about the situation now? We also look at the Irish town where they have gone back to spending punts.

The Guardian has got hold of a cache of emails linking Bashar al-Assad to massacres more directly than ever before - while The Independent says the country is on the verge of a civil war.

The New York Times says the current US hope is that Russia can persuade Assad to leave, in exchange for a promise of immunity - but the Times says the West will do nothing and leave more Syrians to die.

The Guardian is also looking at the Irish town when you can spend punts again - and The Independent looks at how the euro crisis might have influenced Eurovision voting.
