IN THE PAPERS

An overview of the stories making the French and international newspaper headlines. From Monday to Friday live at 7.20 am and 9.20 am Paris time.

Latest update : 2012-06-01

Rwanda: 'missiles point to Paris'

Libération reports the Rwandan army was in possession of 15 French Mistral missiles on the eve of the Rwandan genocide in 1994. It cites a UN document which, it argues, raises questions about the role Paris played in Kigali in the years and months prior to the genocide. That's the focus for this look at the French papers, Friday 1st June 2012.

Libération: 'Rwanda - de très étranges missiles français' (Rwanda - very strange French missiles)

Le Parisien-Aujourd'hui-en-France: 'Syrie - pourquoi le monde laisse faire' (Syria - why is the world letting it happen?)

La Croix: 'Sept symboles pour le jubilé d'une reine de diamant' (Seven symbols for the Queen's diamond jubilee)
