Sudanese protest against President Omar al-Bashir
Could an Arab Spring-type revolution take place in Sudan? Controversial president Omar al-Bashir insists not, but that didn't stop protesters taking to the streets after Friday prayers. They've accused him of running the country badly; by allowing South Sudan to break away, Khartoum has lost a significant portion of income, leading to austerity measures and public anger. To make matters worse, relations with the South are increasing in tension all the time.
