Students protest 'media bias' ahead of Mexican presidential election

Some are calling it "the Mexican Spring". Born six weeks ago, the student movement YoSoy132 has played a fundamental role in the run-up to Sunday's presidential election. Following a controversial visit to a private university by presidential favourite Enrique Pena Nieto, the protest movement has snowballed across the country. Students are asking for a more democratic and balanced campaign and accuse the country's media of selling their support to the highest bidder.

I´ve seen the comments in this publication and i just wanted to say that Yes there is a students protest and a citizens movement all around the country but let me clear something out, the perception is that Enrique Peña is ahead in the surveys, for that is what the monopolistic media says in their surveys, but the protests against the media in México (mostly towards Televisa) is precisely because that is a statement that is far beyond reality, the media coverage is entirely acting as a promoter of the "heading" candidate which is really in decay, all of the people that is marching on this protests will give with a great amount of certainty their vote to Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The students do not want to be perceived as members of any partie because they are not. They are free and informed citizens and they had enough of this regime. We want and demand freedom of information that is being denied to 80% of the mexican population who does not have the resources to access or seek for other sources but the monopolistic media in the Mexican television.
