Who was behind Pakistan singer's murder?

A popular singer's murder on June 18th has reignited the debate on freedom of expression and the weight of tradition in Pakistan. Ghazala Javed was known for standing up to the Taliban when they banned singing and dancing in her home province of Swat Valley. The 24-year-old had two dozen albums to her name, and millions of fans across Pakistan and Afghanistan. But it's thought she might have died following a domestic dispute rather than a revenge killing.

Barcelona authorities aim to fund drug 'shooting galleries' despite cutbacks

Despite generalised cutbacks, the authorities in Barcelona still want to fund injection centres which have reduced deaths from drug overdoses by 40 percent since their introduction twelve years ago. In Spain, these units have the general backing of all political parties. However, in Barcelona, the conservative party now thinks it is time the centres are moved away from commercial and residential areas.

Dozens of indebted and evicted families have decided to squat in empty buildings repossessed by banks and pension funds that the institutions have been unable to sell on. These squatters are demanding housing as a basic human right.

Attacks on rural villages spark fears of increasing violence

Two successive attacks within little over a week in western Ivory Coast have fanned fears of renewed tensions between government troops and militia leaders loyal to ousted former President Laurent Gbagbo. Thousands living in Blolequin, the largest town nearest the violence, have decided to flee. Two rural villages were burned in the fighting. Many farmers have lost much of their crops and now live in fear of further attacks.

WHALING

It has been my several decades efforts that has not worked to have an International ban on killing Whales. These are just such wonderful animals in sea that don't harm any human nor come to shores like sharks sometimes do! If the readers are on board with me alert your friends and business contacts to tell them of the help you are seeking to ban whaling. We must also target Japan the biggest Culprit plus Norway, Iceland and now South Korea. If you believe strongly I recommend you not to buy any product from these countries!!

The Culprit nations are Japan on top of the list followed by Norway, Iceland and now South Korea. It has been my lifelong effort to get an International ban established on killing any whales at Sea. I urge all readers of this message to respond to me if you don't agree stating reasons on this site. If you do, please boycott buying goods from these Culprit nations starting with Japanese Cars!
