'Aleppo, the mother of all battles'
FRENCH PAPERS, Mon. 30/07/12: French daily Libération sent reporters to the north of Syria to interview refugees fleeing the fighting in Aleppo. According to Le Figaro, Syrian rebels are begging for weapons to resist government soldiers. And Le Parisien explores an increasing number of French people leaving the country to retire abroad.
Some articles from today’s French press review:
Libération: “Refugees flee Aleppo in the North of Syria”
Le Figaro: “Syrian rebels beg for arms”
Le Figaro: “The ECB is ready to step in”
Le Parisien: “Retiring out of France”

Olympic fiascos continue (30/07, World Papers)
Fiasco? Really? No, "fiaco" would be something like a collapse of parts of a stadium which result in death, or athletes missing an event because organizers sent them to wrong venue. Not empty seats, or a lost set of keys before the games even began.
A fiasco is a "complete failure"; France24 should be encouraging proper use of words and language.
I very much enjoy the presentations of Florence Villeminot -- hope that she continues in this role permanently. (Only, of course, if that is what she wants!)
