Political asylum is no free ride

IN THE PAPERS NATIONAL, Fri: 17/08/12: Julian Assange is getting a lot of attention in the international press today after he was granted asylum by Ecuador. The Independent explores just what "political asylum" means for the WikiLeaks founder. The Guardian says Assange doesn't deserve the status, but urges the British government to "stay patient and do the right thing".

This past weekend saw things going from bad to worse for the beleaguered French side as Nicolas Anelka was kicked out of the squad having reportedly insulted coach Raymond Domenech during the half-time interval of their match against Mexico. Most papers around France this morning lead with the disastrous developments within the French squad in South Africa over the weekend. Sports paper l’Equipe says the players’ decision not to practise yesterday was “not a rebellion but a temper tantrum, not a strike but a demonstration of cowardice”. This is the Same Tory scum that gave Political Asylum to a Butherer of thousands of Chileneans people. Pinochet .He was given a safe Tory residence.The sooner the planet gets rid of the scum at the top in the west The better for society.
