The Dutch head to the polls this week and so far the economy has taken centre stage in the election battle. In the 22-party race, the fight is largely between those who oppose austerity measures and those in favour of them. The vote comes after the coalition collapsed last Spring when the extreme right’s Geert Wilders flatly refused to back EU-demanded budget cuts.
