Iranian issue stokes tensions between US and Israel
We look at the international papers, where tensions between Israel and the US are dominating headlines, with Iran and the Palestinian territories as a backdrop to the story. Meanwhile, in Spain, Catalonians take to the streets, and Rome’s lovers see their romantic bridge stripped of its padlocks.
The Jerusalem Post thinks the US has no time for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and it’s down to tensions between the two countries. The article suggests this is symptomatic of the ongoing tension between the two countries – namely over the issue of Iran.
Haaretz tells the Israeli Prime Minister to reign in his attacks on the US President whereas UK paper The Independent reminds Barack Obama that "all roads to the White House lead through Florida - and Israel".
The New York Times looks back at seven very lean years of peacemaking … they compare conditions for Palestinians, while the Jerusalem Post asks whether recent riots in the West Bank could be the beginning of a Palestinian Spring.
In Spain, protests in Catalonia made the front page of the local press, La Vanguardia, while national paper El Pais warns Catalans that independence isn’t the solution.
Finally, Il Tempo reports that authorities in Rome have stripped the Milvio bridge of hundreds of padlocks. Couples have been locking up their love and throwing away the key there for years, but the Roman-era bridge just can’t take the weight any more.

Israel - Fight Your Own Wars
I find it quite suspicious that Israel is looking to the US to initiate a war with Iran, when Israel is the country directly threatened by a nuclear armed Iranian state. Israel, send your own sons and daughters to war to fight for your own national security. You brag and boast that you're so powerful, then why are you looking to the US??? You say you will strike Iran with or without US assistance, then do it and stop trying to convince the US to devote more treasure to your security!!!
