French Socialists criticised for dismantling Roma camps

The French government is once again under fire for its policies on dealing with the estimated 15,000 Roma currently living in France. Nicolas Sarkozy's administration paid them to leave; François Hollande's team favours knocking down their makeshift camps. The new Socialist government says it's doing all it can to improve their lives and is working to offer them proper accomodation and jobs. Interior Minister Manuel Valls is even visiting Romania to ensure Roma are treated better over there.
