Twitter: to censor or not to censor?

Twitter's top legal representative met with the French Government today, the latest in a series of communications between the microblogging site and French officials over how to manage hate speech. In the past three months, homophobic and anti-semitic hashtags have caused controversy. On 24th January, a Paris court said Twitter must provide details regarding the identity of the authors of tweets where an official complaint has been made.
