Our fashion critic Jessica Michault tells us about the latest news in the world of fashion and luxury. This week, after New York, London and Milan, the fashion circus has come to Paris for the spring/summer 2013 collections. Two highly anticipated shows have already got the industry talking: those of Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, who both have new designers at the helm.

This March, it’s the 15th edition of French poetry festival 'Printemps des Poètes', so today Sylvia Whitman is going to discuss four of her favourite contemporary poets – from London to San Francisco, from rapping about Shakespeare to a modern retelling of a classical myth… she’s got something for everyone.

TIME FOR A 'TOON UP'

Lyon is the birthplace of motion pictures and also plays host to 'Cartoon Movie', attended by over 700 animation professionals from over 40 countries. Lisa Nesselson brought back a glimpse of four projects destined to become feature-length animated films. She also had the chance to interview Italian director Enzo d'Alò whose new animated film 'Pinocchio' is an action-filled visual delight.

Dark is beautiful

Paris’s old train station turned museum is staging an exhibition called "The Angel of the Odd: Dark Romanticism from Goya to Max Ernst". It traces back the roots of symbolism and surrealism to the Romantics. With films noirs, such as Murnau’s Nosferatu or Hitchcock’s Rebecca, but also furniture, photography and painting, of course, the show spans from the late 18th century to the mid-20th century.
