We head to China for a special edition of The Week in Asia, as the 18th Nation Congress of the Communist Party takes place in Beijing. Vice-President Xi Jinping is widely expected to take over as the new head of state from Hu Jintao. We went to meet some Chinese people, who don’t get a say on who takes over at the top, but do get to elect local officials in rural communities.
