Western Sahara: UN envoy in bid to restart talks
The future of the disputed region of Western Sahara is back on the agenda as a UN mediator bids to kick-start stalled talks. Meanwhile, in Morocco, new adoption laws are sparking controversy. Until now, abandoned children could be adopted by foreigners and brought up overseas, but authorities are worried they won't offer an Islamic upbringing.
Finally, France declares a new day of remembrance for the Algerian War, but the conflict remains as divisive as ever on both sides of the Mediterranean.
