Mali conflict: Once the French have gone... (part 2)

French lawmakers have given the green light to keeping troops in Mali. Operation Serval began in January, and since then, al Qaeda-linked jihadists have been chased out of Mali's towns and cities. French troops have already begun to leave and the government says that just 1,000 soldiers will remain until the end of the year for training purposes. I never understood why the UK

I never understood why the UK joined the EU in the first place, the UK unlike the rest of Europe is still very much a society defined by class, by lack of solidarity between the classes, a country that can not manufacture anymore with a single focus on the Financial sector, and a fabulous track record of doing whatever the USA wants to do. The UK is really and extension of the USA not a natural part or political part of Europe. The UK has been bashing the EU since the day it joined and provided no constructive input into the process, so we would be delighted to see the UK leave, we do not need you at all.
