Online micro fashion films are becoming a key feature in most luxury brands' advertising campaigns. But they are not the only ones taking advantage of social media outlets to entice buyers into shops. Department stores as well as up-and-coming brands are turning to this medium as a powerful new way to connect with their customers. Our fashion critic Jessica Michault tells us more.
Today is an important date in the literary calendar – the first day of the annual celebration of French publishing, the "Salon du Livre" in Paris. "Le Grand Mess" is an exhibition of the work of 29 year-old Théo Mercier’s, a promising young French artist who has laready had a first solo show in New York at age 25. his work was shown last year during the cutural event in Lille "Lille Fantastic".
In today’s photography programme, Olivia Salazar-Winspear goes in search of the primitive shaman, through the photos of Charles Fréger, a photographer exploring European myths of the wild man. We also take a look at a new edition of Malick Sidibé’s photographs, documenting a half century of Malian society. And classical portraiture’s celebrated at the Jeu de Paume gallery… but not on Facebook! The social network says Laure Albin Guillot’s nude is too racy for the site.
