Hurricanes Isaac and Sandy have destroyed an already weak harvest, leading to a food shortage. Prices have rocketed, as farmers are unable to cultivate enough crops to feed even themselves and their families. Help from the international community will be critical over the coming months if Haitians are to be prevented from starving altogether.
