La Piscine splashed with Chagall's artworks
Russian-born French painter Marc Chagall (1887-1985) is most famous for his poetic pictures that revisit Biblical and Jewish themes. But he was also a fine sculptor, ceramicist and costume-designer. Roubaix’s art venue La Piscine stages a show that does justice to the artist’s other talents. Plus, Mathieu Mercier’s solo show at the Ricard Foundation’s art venue in Paris proves his gift for visual puns and ironic minimalism.
