The UN has recently upped the pressure on militias and entities that use child soldiers. Armen Georgian asks the UN Special Representative for Children and Conflict whether these sanctions have had any effect. Leila Zerrougui explains that the biggest challenge is stopping non-state armed groups from using child soldiers, since they are much less vulnerable to outside pressure than governments.
