'Barbarian gang' trial recalls the gruesome killing of Ilan Halimi

The trial of Youssouf Fofana, leader of the "Barbarian gang" accused of kidnapping, torturing and killing a young Jewish man, Ilan Halimi, is to start on April 29. FRANCE 24 visited the housing estate near Paris where Halimi was held captive.

From Ravalomanana to Rajoelina

FRANCE 24 reporters were able to follow Marc Ravalomanana's eventful last days as president of Madagascar and Andry Rajoelina's subsequent accession to power. The 34-year-old former DJ is now the youngest head of an African state.
