FRENCH PAPERS, Mon. 31/12/12: Facing high unemployment and a political defeat regarding his "super-tax" law, François Hollande is set to deliver his first New Year’s address to the French. Left-leaning papers say the government acted amateurishly in drawing up the new tax bill. Meanwhile, Le Parisien reports on an unusual call for help coming from China via the US. A woman in Oregon found a letter allegedly from a Chinese forced labour worker in a toy box.
