Art with a pop: Pommery Champagne celebrates 10 years of contemporary art patronage
Pommery Champagne celebrates a decade as Patrons of Contemporary Art, with "Expérience Pommery #10". No, you haven’t drunk too much, you’ve just seen an elephant! The life size sculpture of an elephant standing on its trunk is the work of Daniel Firman.

A crazy appetizer to the contemporary art feast curated by Bernard Blistène in the champagne cellars. The art trail is a site-specific exhibition. The curator wanted to make the most of the heritage of Pommery i.e. 25 million bottles in store and 135 acres underground,18km of tunnel.The history of the Pommery Cellars date back to Louise Pommery who, in 1868, decided to link up the old Gallo-Roman chalk quarries and turn them into wine cellars. Part of the experience is the humidity and the dark, the otherworldly atmosphere, this installation of lined up boots by Delphine Reist looks like a ghostly regiment …
