US embassy bomber connected to far-left militants, minister says

A suicide bomber who detonated an explosive in at the entrance of the US Embassy in Ankara on Friday is connected to a far-left militant group, Turkey’s interior minister said Friday. The bomber and a security guard were killed in the attack.

The suicide bomber who killed one person and wounded another today in an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Ankara is a member of an outlawed leftist group, Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Güler told reporters.
