Risking It All For What You Believe In
James Marsh's "Shadow Dancer" is a tense political thriller about the toll taken during The Troubles, as experienced by a Belfast terrorist who happens to be a woman and an MI5 agent who happens to be a man. Our fim critic Lisa Nesselson says it's excellent.
And what about Hitch? When Paramount refused to finance "Psycho," Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma bet their house - literally - that the time was ripe for the Master of Suspense to direct a horror thriller. "Hitchcock" isn't a great movie, but it is fun.
Finally, the "Human Rights Film Festival" runs through February 12th.
