Istanbul’s twelfth independent film festival opened with French director Leos Carax’s much-anticipated Holy Motors on Wednesday, ending a 12-year hiatus from the esteemed director. The international “!f” festival runs until February 24.

The 12th !f Istanbul International Independent Film Festival opened last night with a special gala screening of French director Leos Carax’s much-anticipated film “Holy Motors.”
