100% pure French food scandal
The horsemeat scandal hits the headlines for the second day running, with new fears over drugs found in horse carcasses. François Hollande's trip to India is played down by left-wing daily Libération, while Le Figaro hails it as an important rendez-vous for trade relations between the two countries. And Interior Minister Manuel Valls highlights his concerns for France's national security, in an exclusive interview with Le Parisien.
Le Figaro are headlining on the horsemeat scandal, as are Libération who point the finger squarely at the French wholesalers involved.
The paper’s also reporting on President François Hollande’s visit to India, as is Le Figaro, who highlight good trade relations between Paris and Delhi. This comes after particularly disappointing growth figures for France.
And Interior Minister Manuel Valls gives an interview to Le Parisien where he says France should be on high alert, as terrorism is still a threat.
