Tens of thousands rally in Athens against tough austerity measures
Greece ground to a virtual standstill on Wednesday as tens of thousands took to the streets in the country's first general strike of the year. Protesters are continuing to denounce tough austerity measures such as tax hikes, necessary for the country to qualify for the next round of bailout funds. Dozens of flights were cancelled, while trains, buses, and boat services ran on limited schedules and hospitals operated with minimum staff.
