26,000 Mexicans disappear during Calderon's term in office

The Mexican government announced shocking figures this week, revealing that 26,000 people went missing between 2006 and 2012 - the time that former president Felipe Calderon was in office. This comes just day after Human Rights Watch claimed that the army and the police may have been involved in a number of those disappearances. Taking power three months ago, incoming president Enrique Pena Nieto vowed to put an end to kidnappings - but can he keep that promise?
