A delegation from Turkey arrived in northern Iraq on Tuesday to oversee the handover of eight Turkish officials kidnapped by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). The hostage release was negotiated as part of a peace process between Turkey and the PKK.

A group, including two Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) lawmakers and non-governmental organization representatives, entered northern Iraq Tuesday in anticipation of the handover of the Turkish officials kidnapped by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and expected to be freed as part of the ongoing peace process...
