Thailand's forgotten conflict

For almost ten years, the Muslim provinces of southern Thailand have been the stage for a forgotten civil war. The Thai government is trying to impose its authority on a region that has close ties with neighbouring Malaysia. The fighting has left local people trapped between military operations and bomb attacks. But is it about religion or territory?
