West and Middle East come together in Jordan

Nineteen nations from around the world participated in military exercises in the Jordanian desert earlier this month. Dubbed "Eager Lion," the exercises lasted two weeks and featured land, sea and air personnel. Officials insist that the training mission was no more than a recurring annual event. Yet questions over the conflict in Syria, and any foreign military intervention, were in the minds of many.
