Juan Carlos Pinzon, Colombian Defence Minister

"Respect is all we want" says Colombia’s Defence Minister, Juan Carlos Pinzon, over worsening relations with its neighbour Venezuela. Caracas has angered Bogota over its claim that Colombian paramilitaries had attempted to kill Venezuela’s new President Nicolas Maduro. Pinzon tells Annette Young how Bogota is working hard to ensure ties between the two South American nations remain on an even keel given Venezuela is acting as mediator between the Colombian government and FARC rebels.
