Jean-Marie-Guéhenno, Professor, Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War & Peace Studies

As the Arab Spring continues to unravel there is a growing debate about the role the United States and other Western democracies should play in the region. Some analysts believe the West should avoid the temptation to look the other way while others argue little can be done, given the ideological differences within the Islamist movement. To discuss this issue, Eduardo Cué talks to Jean-Marie Guéhenno, former Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations and the Arab League in Syria.
