What €200 can buy you on the streets of Paris

It's becoming easier and easier for illegal immigrants in France to get their hands on fake ID cards. Many of the bogus documents get past the police and enable undocumented workers to get jobs. Even though making and using fake ID carries a possible penalty of 5 years in prison, immigrants are still taking the risk. New guidelines published last year say those who have been in France for 5 years and can provide 8 payslips in the last 24 months can apply for a legal work permit.
