MEDIAWATCH

A fresh take on the news big and bizarre in the newspapers, on websites, blogs and social media. From Monday to Friday at 8.45 pm Paris time.

Latest update : 2013-12-04

Politicians failing I.Q. tests

Firstly, the former French Minister for European Affairs, Laurent Wauquiez, spectacularly fails a quiz live on radio. Next up, it’s the turn of Boris Johnson, London’s mayor, to ridicule himself on British radio; he failed to answer any question from an I.Q. test correctly. Johnson also came in for criticism for a speech last week during which he said economic equality will never be possible because some people are "too stupid" to get ahead.

Finally, both the mayor of London and a Paris mayoral hopeful appear clueless about the price of a metro ticket!
