Goodluck Jonathan, President of Nigeria

On the sidelines of the Africa-France summit in Paris, Marc Perelman met Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan. President Jonathan reacted to Nelson Mandela’s death and praised the anti-apartheid icon’s selflessness.

Goodluck Jonathan also spoke about security in Nigeria and the government’s campaign against Boko Haram and Ansaru insurgents. He admitted he was surprised by the strength of Boko Haram, which is now able to carry out sophisticated terrorist attacks and cross-border kidnappings.
