Hollande's Germany Envy: Can the German Model be Exported? (part 2)

Hollande is now a self-proclaimed "social democrat", while the German chancellor, who this Wednesday delivered her first state of the nation address since signing up to a grand coalition with her own Social Democrats, pledged to redress excesses for all those stuck in precarious, low-paying jobs.
