Emily O'Reilly, European Ombudsman

Last summer, Emily O'Reilly was elected by MEPs as the new European Ombudsman. Her mission is to investigate EU citizens' complaints of maladministration and violation of rights by EU institutions. Ms O'Reilly tells Christophe Robeet why an increasing number of Europeans mistrust their institutions. She strongly believes that the EU must do a better job at promoting what it does.
