India is gearing up for monumental general elections mid-April. With an estimated 815 million Indians eligible to vote, France 24 will be providing you with regular reports from the world's largest democracy. In the spotlight today: the country's education system. Free schooling for all children up to age 14 was promised around a decade ago and largely delivered. But plenty of parents are still investing their savings in private schools, complaining that public education is too often sub-par.
