Fans flock to see World Cup trophy on tour in Paris

Costumed Brazilian dancers welcomed the hundreds of football fans who queued up on Sunday to see the World Cup trophy on display at Paris' Town Hall.

The golden six-kilo (12.2-pound) trophy set out from Sao Paulo in September, accompanied by world famous footballer and onetime World Cup winner Pele.

The coveted prize will travel through 90 countries before returning to host nation Brazil ahead of being awarded to the victor of the July 13 World Cup final.
