THE OBSERVERS

A show produced with photos, videos and personal accounts from our Observers around the world - all checked by our staff here in Paris. Saturday at 10.15 am Paris time.

Stranded at an airport in Morocco and a controversial sea wall in Dakar

A news show produced exclusively from content provided by amateurs. Photos, videos and personal accounts from our network of Observers around the world - all checked by our staff in Paris. First run Saturdays at 8:10 am Paris time.

Story 1: Morocco

We begin today with the story of an Observer stuck in limbo, stranded at an airport, a little like Tom Hanks in The Terminal. Our Observer Kokoba is a refugee from Ivory Coast who's been living in Morocco for the last three years. He recently left the country for a quick trip to visit friends in Mauritania. When he got back to Morocco, airport police told him he couldn't come back into the country.

Story 2: Senegal

Now to Senegal in West Africa, its capital Dakar. The city is on a peninsula, surrounded by the sea and beaches. The seafront is a popular place for working out and kicking a ball around, but our Observer Mahamet tells us that could change.
