Freed French Hostages: Celebration and speculation on how it all happened

The French papers are awash in speculation as to what role the French government played in securing the release of the four French journalists who were held by extremists in Syria for 10 months.

Le Figaro reports on the chaotic scenes from whence the four French journalists were rescued. The French papers - including Libération - speculate on what measures the French government took to secure the release of its citizens.

And Le Parisien celebrates the 70th anniversary of French women's right to vote. It was announced by General de Gaulle in 1944, a decade and a half later than Canada, the UK and the US.
