Cris Cab on being Pharrell's prodigy

He’s the man with the midas touch: everything Pharrell Williams touches seems to turn to gold, and that includes his new protégé Cris Cab. The young singer-songwriter has just scored a top ten hit in four European countries with his song "Liar Liar", which also features Pharrell. In today’s musical edition of Encore! we catch up with Cris ahead of his first ever headline French gig.

Also on the show: Damon Albarn goes it alone at last. After more than 20 years as the leader of Blur, Gorillaz and too many one-off supergroups to mention, the Britpop legend releases his first solo record. Our music critic Mark Thompson tells us if it's worth the wait.

Plus: bringing Spanish guitar and flamenco into the mainstream. As Rodrigo y Gabriela release a new album, we ask what their secret to success is.
