Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, in partnership with Siemens, is vying to buy a stake in French energy and transport giant Alstom, but faces both competition from US firm GE as well as the interference of the French government.

The company’s CEO, Shunichi Miyanaga, gave an exclusive interview to FRANCE 24 on Wednesday to discuss the corporate battle for one of the biggest names in French industry.
