Mali : French soldier killed in suicide attack

Northern Mali remains restive: France's defence ministry said one of its soldiers had been killed by a suicide bombing targetting its forces. French intervention helped turn around an Islamist invasion last year and President Hollande is due in West Africa this week as France prepares to redeploy troops throughout the Sahel.
