Sixteen Lebanese soldiers, including two officers, and "dozens" of militants have been killed in three days of clashes in eastern Lebanon on the Syrian border, a military source said Monday.

The source said the clashes were continuing on Monday, with one army post under heavy attack by militants and troop reinforcements struggling to reach it to counter the offensive.
