FRANCE 24 and SAMAR media take a closer look at the complex web of relations between Turkey and its Arab neighbours ahead of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's likely election as Turkey's new president on Sunday.

Erdem Gündüz is better known as "The Standing Man" ('Duran Adam’ in Turkish). A dancer and choreographer, he became famous because of his “stand” taken during the Gezi demonstrations in 2013. In his interview with SAMAR, he looks back at his participation in the Gezi protests and explains his opposition to the ruling AKP party.
