England were bowled out for 486 in reply to India's 148, a first-innings lead of 338 runs, on the third day of the fifth Test at The Oval on Sunday.

Joe Root was 149 not out after last man James Anderson fell lbw to Ravichandran Ashwin for one.

Fit-again fast bowler Ishant Sharma marked his return to Test cricket with four wickets for 96 runs in 30 overs.

England lead the five-match series 2-1.
