India Votes: Is the world ready for the return of Hindu nationalist BJP?

He could be the next leader of the world's largest democracy...Hindu nationalist leader Narendra Modi today filed his nomination papers to run for parliament in his home state of Gujarat. It was on Modi's watch in 2002 that nearly 800 Muslims were slaughtered in a riot in Gujarat. He's branded the episode 'a failure', but has never apologised outright. Is India - home to the world's second largest Muslim population - ready for the return of Hindu nationalists to power?

Produced and prepared by Anelise Borges, Haxie Meyers-Belkin and Christopher Davis
